Overview
TipWise ("the app") is a tip calculator application. This Privacy Policy explains how the app handles information when you use it. We built TipWise to work fully offline, so your privacy is protected by design.
Information We Collect
TipWise does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information. The app does not require an internet connection, an account, or a sign-up to function.
The only data the app stores is saved locally on your own device using Android's standard local storage (SharedPreferences). This includes your last entered bill amount, tip percentage, number of people, and your light/dark mode preference. This information never leaves your device and is not shared with us or any third party.
Permissions
TipWise does not request access to your contacts, location, camera, microphone, storage, or any other sensitive device permission. The app does not contain advertising or analytics software development kits (SDKs).
Children's Privacy
TipWise does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. Since the app does not collect personal data at all, it can be used safely by users of any age.
